Christmas 2008

Well Christmas was some what a blur for me. It's soo hectic that it seems to just fly by! Dan and I have off the next two weeks...that'll be nice! I soooo won't want to go back! Thursday we went to Dan's parents for lunch and then for dinner we went to my Mom and Tim's. Saturday we go to my Dads to celebrate Christmas with my entire family!!

So after Liam's birthday I really didn't know what we were going to do with all the toys he got! THEN Christmas came!! Now we REALLY need to build a new house! I had to move around his bedroom to get some of his toys in there. He'll play in there a bit...but not too long unless you sit in there with him. He is going down and playing in his room though more and more! I'm really not sure how many more toys this child can possibly have???


Of course I wanted to send out Christmas cards to everyone this year....but do you think I could get a picture of Liam I liked!?! NO! I finally got one like the day before Christmas and at that point I figured...too late! Here's the one I got.....

He doesn't cooperate the best...but I thought this one came out pretty good and it was fun! He's on the move now!! Walking all over. So to get him to sit still, just doesn't go over well!! It's hard to believe he's walking already! Gosh how time flies!

1 YEAR stats

So I took Liam to the doctor for his 1 year check up. It went really well....the doctor was more than pleased with his growth! He's 22lbs 8 oz (40%) and 30.5" (68%). He's growing so fast!! The doctor gave us a referral to see a dermatologist for his birth mark. Liam was born with a birth mark on his hip, as did I on my leg (it looks very similar) but mine has gone away in time. Anyways, I noticed his mark get a black spot on it....so the doctor would just like a dermatologist to look at it and keep an eye on it. Better safe than sorry! Not really worried about it...because like I said I had one when I was born too and it's now gone. Other than that....he got two more shots, and his last flu shot! The doctor said there is only one or two more check ups where he'll get shots and then not again until 4 years old! That'll be nice!! I feel bad when he gets shots, but he's such a trooper about it! He cries for a bit and then he's over it!

Well hopefully I've updated enough for now....I'm sure I'll be updating soon with Christmas pictures! I can't believe Christmas is this week!?!? It really feels like Liam's first Christmas even though last year was technically his first....he was just so little (only two weeks old) we barely got any pictures!? This year will be a lot of fun! We're very excited!!

LONG over due!!

I'm soo not good with keeping my blog updated! Well as most of you know our little guy is OFFICIALLY 1 years old!! We were soo excited for Liam's 1st birthday....and then I get the FLU?!? Ugh it was absolutely horrible! I now know why they have the flu shot! I will forever be getting it from here on out! I just couldn't imagine being so sick and yet there is nothing to help you feel better! I felt like I should have been hospitalized!! lol. I prayed sooo much that God would let me feel better for Liam's BIG day! THANK GOD...Friday I was feeling much better and was actually able to help out and make Liam's birthday cake! That was quite the project! Thanks to Maegen...I don't know what I would have done without her that week! She did most of the cake baking and then Friday when I felt better we got to the finishing details! All in all in turned out pretty well considering we are BY FAR not cake professionals! Some people didn't make it to Liam's party....after hearing I was sick, some didn't want to take the risk. However, we did still have quite a turn out! I'd say we probably had around 50 people there! Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves! It was really nice! Liam got a lot of presents! There were so many we decided to bring them home to open them...little at a time! It was so much easier this way, especially considering how crappy I was feeling! Liam was sooo excited to see some of the presents he got! Here are some of the pictures we took!

Last week I watched my friend Melissa's son Adam. Adam will be 3 in January. He and Liam had such a good time playing together. These are just two of the pictures I took of the boys! They were sooo funny together!

Liam's Grampy, Dan's Dad, got this pumpkin for Liam out of his garden. Liam just loves pumpkins! We can't wait for Halloween! Dan's mother is making Liam's halloween costume this year...he is going to be a Lion! Can't wait to post those pics :)

Last weekend Liam and I were over at my parents house and Nathan was there. Nathan couldn't wait to show Liam his truck...so I brought him outside and he was showing him and asked if he could go for a ride. So considering it had a velcro seat belt...I figured sure! He LOVED it! They loved riding around together. It was sooo cute!! Nate had his arm around him making sure he didn't fall out or anything...it was just the cutest thing ever! Here are a few pics we took of them!

Moving Along....

It's amazing tomorrow is October already!? Geez....before we know it Christmas will be here? Which I guess means I should think about shopping soon! Last month was Liam's 9 month dr's appointment! No Shots!!! That was nice! They did a hemoglobin test which was just a prick to his big toe, which he laughed about! It was soo nice to have an appointment where there was no shots! The doctor said to me when he came in, would you like him to have a flu shot...I was like NO thank you! I'll come back :) I just wanted to have one appointment without it! We will have to schedule another appointment for that flu shot...I don't need him getting the flu! That's for sure!! Anyways, he weighed in at 20lbs (37%) and was 28.5" (51%)....so we're going to have to move him into his convertible car seat VERY soon!! The limit is 22lbs and 30"...so we're just on the border of that! We'll be shopping around for one soon! He's moving all around the house...still doing the army crawl! He gets up on his knees moves a bit and then back to his belly...must be easier for him! With our wood floors he slides really good...so it probably is easier!

We went to Nathan's birthday party this past weekend! I just can't get over he's three years old!? It's crazy to think not too long ago he was only 4lbs 9 oz!? Amazing!! I'll post some of those pics soon! Here's one my sister sent me...she took of me and Liam! He had such a blast! Dan and I actually had a wedding that day too! So we left early and he stayed with my Mom and Tim. He had his first sleep over there that night! It went sooo well!! I was worried he wouldn't sleep well...we've been trying to get him to sleep through the night, and he's been pretty good! Sometimes he wakes up when he hears Dan getting ready for work around 530am...but I don't go in and get him and eventually he falls back to sleep till usually around 7! The night he stayed at my Mom's though he slept till 830am!! Dan and I were sooo happy because we didn't get home that night till 5am!! That takes a toll on your body when you have to get up the next morning with a baby!!?? lol. Dan and I decided we might as well just go to my parents and sleep on the couch....so we did and were thrilled when he slept till 830...we needed that!! :)

My Happy BABY!!

We're coming up on 9 months!? Liam's dr apt is next week!! Next week goes back to my normal schedule again...Monday work all day, Wednesday and Friday half days. I can't wait! The BEST part is that Liam is going to my Aunt's now on Mondays instead of a babysitter! I was sooo excited about this. We had some issues with the babysitter, some I probably made a bigger deal than I should have, but I could never shake the feeling that I didn't want him there?!? He just never seemed himself there! Well now I don't have to worry...he's soo happy with my Aunt and my Cousin! He goes there Mondays all day and Wednesday half days. Friday half days my Dad usually watches him, which works out really good too! He LOVES being with my Dad!! So it's nice that he's able to watch him! This summer has been VERY hectic...especially this last month! I'm hoping for a nice relaxing fall...but you never know!?

Not good with this?!

I need to get on the ball! It's been a Month since I've updated our blog!? Geez.... Life has been a little crazy lately for me! I have been watching my girlfriends 2 month old! Talk about HANDS FULL!! If I stay home all day with both kids, I'm fine! If I attempt to do anything, I regret it! Two YOUNG kids all day long...it definitely keeps me BUSY!! Luckily she's still little, so when I have to hold both of them, I can, BARELY, but I can! I only have one more week of watching her, but until then life just kind of stays low key for us! I tell you it's been the BEST birth control! The thought of having TWO babies...I don't know how people who have twins do it!?! It's a lot of work! Trying to make sure one doesn't wake the other, having two to feed, change, and keep happy!? Yea...I've been busy!

In other news...Liam is getting soo big! He's getting all over!! It's not the traditional crawl...but if he wants something, he'll get there! He's got 5 Teeth!! They hurt too?? Up until these top two came in I've been very lucky...no biting when he eats. Until recently??? That's not fun! I've been trying to teach him NO, it's actually going pretty well! I think he sort of gets it!? Not sure how long there memory is at this age, but I guess in time he'll figure it out! :) Here are some pics we took this past week of Liam! We had some pictures taken by my cousin Maegen again...well part 1 and 2...I'm thinking she'll probably do some more. Who am I kidding, she'll probably never STOP! lol. She loves taking pictures of Liam. We got a few good ones of him with my nephew Nathan, This one was my favorite!!

I take Liam for his 9 month check up in only two weeks!? Holy Cow where is the time going?? I have put him on our scale at home recently with clothes on and it shows 19.6 lbs...so my guess is he's probably 19 1/2 or so! We'll see!! He's getting sooo tall too! He's really thinning out now! He just looks sooo big! It's crazy! We've already started talking about his 1st birthday...seems so crazy to think! Didn't I just have him??? Gosh I feel like I did! Now he's walking all over the house when you hold his hands. He could care less about sitting he wants to GO!! He's the BEST kid ever!! I fall so much more in love with him EVERY DAY! We're SOOO LUCKY!!!

7 Months Today!?!

It's crazy to think that it was 7 months ago that Liam was born? Gosh he's getting sooo big!! About a month ago he started sitting up on his own. It took a week or so for him to get GOOD at it! He had to take a few falls first...poor boy! I guess that's how they learn though! He is finally consistently sleeping through the night!! YAY FOR MOMMY :) He eats three meals a day and still nurses about 4 times a day. We started water around 6 months from a cup and he LOVES it!!! I think he really likes when it's cold and how it feels on his teeth!! He doesn't seem to be gaining much more weight but is definitely getting taller!! We're hoping he starts to gain a little slower at this point! ha ha! It's nice not to have to run out and buy new clothes every other week!! :) He's still wearing 6-9 month pants/shorts and 6 months for most tops. He's sooo strong...he's always wanting to stand up! He does roll from his belly to his back and from his back to his side...he will only go to his belly if he REALLY wants to (i.e if there is a toy he can't reach)! lol. It's nice to still be able to put him down some place and run down to throw some laundry in, come back and know he'll still be there!! I can't say he'll be doing that too much longer!!?? He's still not saying much just babbling...but we're trying! Hopefully Ma Ma will come soon :) or Da Da would be fine too?!?? lol!


We've been VERY busy lately!! I've been working out on Tuesdays and Thursdays...which is NICE for Liam cause he can hang out with the children of the other woman I work out with! He just loves this other little boy Caleb that is there! He's 9 months and I swear Liam thinks he's there for his entertainment!! he he! I'll have to take pics of them together soon!! I always forget my camera when we go...I'll shoot to remember this week though! I'm still working all day Mondays and Liam goes to the babysitter then. Wednesday I work for a few hours in the morning and Liam hangs out with either my Dad or his Nana Harter :) He's definitely with his Nana Fridays though! It's nice cause she'll watch him at my Mother's and then when I get out of work we can go swimming in my parents pool!! Lately it's been pretty warm, so that's been nice to have! Today it's suppose to be 88 and HUMID!?! I think they're saying 90 next week too....so thank God for that pool! :)

Well that seems to be Liam in a nutshell! He's getting BIG that's for sure!! I'll be sure to post more when I can...especially new pics :)

Camp

My Aunt CarolAnn invited Liam and I up to camp last weekend! What a great weekend we had!! We drove up with Maegen...I'll have to post some of her pics when I get them, they were good!! I don't know what we packed...but we had JUST enough room for us and Liam! It was soo funny! We left Thursday night and Liam and I came home Saturday night! Here are some of the pictures we got!
