THEN there were 5!!!!!

Kristin had her ultrasound today....so Chuck, Kristin and Nathan all went up to check out the little peanut! HOWEVER, to their surprise.......THERE WERE TWO!!!! OMG TWINS!!...I'm still in such shock!! They're sooo excited!! I just can't believe there will be TWO new babies!! Talk about a hand full!! I know though if anyone can handle twins...it's my sister! She's going to be GREAT! I'm just soooo excited for them!!

YAY for poppy seeds!!!!

Well we've got some EXCITING news in our family!! As a lot of you know my sister and Chuck are getting married June 13th. We couldn't be MORE thrilled for them! Well........they're also going to be Expecting A BABY in October!!! We are SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! My sister doesn't go for her first appt till March 3rd. However, with MY expertise calculations...my guess is that little baby VanAlphen will be here around October 20th!! Now we'll see what the dr's say..but my guess is the BEST! lol.

So I signed my sister up today for the Baby Center. If you go on there it tells you that right now the baby is about the size of a poppy seed....hence YAY FOR POPPY SEEDS!! lol! I just couldn't be MORE excited for them right now!! They couldn't wait to have another baby...although they were thinking they'd wait till after the wedding. However, God had another plan for them!! Now they'll be getting a baby brother or sister for Nate sooner than expected! Nathan is just SOOO excited for the baby!! He can't wait to tell everyone that Mommy has a baby in their belly!! He loves to give kisses to the baby!! He's going to make a GREAT big brother!! Only about 36 weeks to go.....but who's counting! lol!!

So as some of you may be thinking....as was my first thought, HOW THE HECK is she going to fit in her wedding dress!? lol. When I asked her she said, well maybe I can still fit in it. Umm......probably not! lol. At 21 weeks I can't see you hiding your pregnant belly, especially being baby #2! Although she didn't look pregnant with Nathan...(which was TOTALLY NOT FAIR btw) she won't be getting that lucky this time, now that she's down 80 lbs!!!! It's a nice idea though! he he! Well being the BEST matron of honor I can be, I made a call to David's Bridal where she got her dress and low and behold, they'll exchange it for her! HALLELUJAH!!! So we'll be taking another trip up soon to get her fitted YET AGAIN! :) he he! Like I told her better to be safe than sorry....and why have more things to worry about! This is VERY exciting news...we don't want it to cause any stress...just excitement!!!

So now that I've devolged the BIG secret, which btw was VERY hard to keep for over 24hours! She told me I had to wait to tell....I am just soooo excited to be an AUNT AGAIN!!!

Kris...this is perfect timing, I was just getting the baby itch, but better you than me...We have NO ROOM! lol. This will totally help the itch! I can't wait for your little poppy seed to be here! CONGRATULATIONS YOU GUYS!! I LOVE YOU!!

Crazy household....

This week has been crazy in my house! Liam is cutting 4 molars and an incisor! NO FUN!! He basically walks around from the time I get home till bed time, whining! On top of this he's been waking up around 2 or so crying and he'll go back to bed but he'll keep doing it every 30 min or so until he gets motrin....I can imagine it's hard to sleep with all that activity in his mouth! As if this isn't enough....Dan has been walking around in a lot of pain the last few days. I seriously was soo annoyed with him for complaining of his back and not doing anything about it...so I made him an appt on Tuesday to see another back dr. He was afraid to go back to his other dr, because she thought he needed surgery....not to mention she couldn't see him for a month of so!? So I got him this appt with a different dr. Low and behold....he needs surgery! ASAP!!! They have to get it approved by comp but as of right now everyone is doing what they can to get the ball moving! The dr said if it weren't for needing the approval, he'd schedule him for surgery that day! Basically his disc is gone! They need to go in, put in a spacer and fuse it! Good thing we didn't keep waiting (Dan's NOT SO SMART idea!!) otherwise we might have a new house payment and another baby on the way! The dr said after the surgery he will be in a back brace for three months and then he can go back to work on light duty for 6 months (I believe). So I guess we're waiting a bit on the property....oh well, if this helps relieve Dan's pain, it'll SOOO be worth it! My husband takes Advil more than I change my underwear!! lol. Seriously though he takes it wayyyy more than you should! Not to mention he takes 4 or 5 at a time! His pain has just been really bad, even after the surgery (which btw was 2 years ago exactly on the 28th!!) So be praying for him....I hope this surgery is a little more successful than the last!!


On a better note....according to the last update Ashlyn is doing really well! They're lightening up the sedation and she in fact moved both legs and arms yesterday!! Praise GOD! She is truly a miracle child!! We'll be continuing to pray that she keeps up with this wonderful progress and that when she completely wakes up she surprises everyone with how well she is! Please God LET IT BE!! How much more can one family endure....
